Due to Hurricane Laura , please find the following message from the Port of Houston Authority, Houston, Texas USA below:

Port Houston continues to monitor the storm conditions in the Gulf.  TENTATIVE plans for Port Houston facilities are as follows:

Barbours Cut and Bayport Container Terminals:

  • Cease all terminal Ops Tuesday evening.  Gates will close at normal hours.  Vessels TBD by USCG ship channel status
  • We anticipate to be fully closed Wednesday and possibly Thursday depending on the storm track
  • Weekend gate Ops will be evaluated based on local/regional impacts
  • Container free time extensions will be made once the length of terminal closures are defined.

 General Cargo/Multi-Purpose Terminals:

  • Tuesday evening Truck Office and gates at the North Side Tuning Basin will close at normal hours
  • We anticipate to be fully closed Wednesday and possibly Thursday depending on the storm track
  • Gates at Cargo Bay Road and Ramp Road Six plan to remain open Wednesday and Thursday

 Additional Channel Updates:

  • Houston Pilots have announced they plan to stop inbound  vessel traffic at 1600 today August 24, 2020.
